a very brady melbs visit

well we’ve just come back from 4 days in melbourne which was sooooooo exhausting!!!!  we flew out from coolongatta which is about an hour away (mum drove us up), then the 2 hrs on the plane and then the bus and tram (s) to st kilda to our self contained hotel room that was on sale - yay!!  we’d been up since 5:30am with clansee and packing and getting to mums and driving and jetting and, like, it was 3pm when we sat in our hotel!!  so at 4 we decided to go and get a drink but clansee had different plans - so we got a pizza and a bottle of wine and went back to our room.  sleep, day 2.  filled with early breakfast at fitzroy by 8am, friend meeting, over to east malvern (which is impossible to get to, visit my mums eccentric godmother (best friend of my nanna, who lives in a terrible boarding house resembling the likes of ‘one flew over the cuckoo’s nest; - very upset, but won’t get into - just that the care for people that don’t have the money to afford expensive nursing homes is absolutely appalling), get lost, pick her up and go for coffee, take her back, get a tram, wait for next tram in freeeeeeezing cold.  eat dins, in bed by 8pm.  aaaaaaaaaand then the next 2 days are spent with ari’s family (aunty’s and uncles and cousins and about 100 kids!).  very exhausting.  has taken about 3 days to recover.  thought trip may have been a bit of a rest - but was wrong.  being an only child with no cousins and only having 6 (now only 4 left) in my family growing up,  i alway’s wished i’d had a big family (i love all ari’s family to bits),  but now i’m not so sure about the huge family thing .  .   .   .  you alway’s think you want what you don’t have - hey?  i am very happy that clansee has many relatives though and i’m planning a little sibling for clansee when he goes to school - he he he.  just have to work on ari - but he’ll come around.

xx amy

Cold is not the word for the weather at the moment. I have only lived here for 6 months, came from Nelson Bay (Newcastle way) Bloody freezing would better describe the weather :)
